The Seven Steps to Happiness

THE SEVEN STEPS TO HAPPINESS

by Yogi Bhajan

Bitching at people, complaining to people, yelling and screaming at people, you don’t get anywhere ladies. The only things which will take you anywhere are your character, your commitment, and your grace. That is your trinity. There are seven steps to happiness.

The first is Commitment,
…which will give you …
Character
… which will give you …
Dignity
… which will give you …
Divinity
… which will give you …
Grace
… which will give you …
Power to Sacrifice
… which will give you …

There is no other way.

I am seventy-one-years-old. When I hear people complaining, do you know what happens to me? I immediately go into prayer. Automatically. It is not something I have to perform. I say, “God, help these creatures.” You ask me how I live? I live out of this bitchiness, these complaints, these demands; this whatever you want to call it. I live through every slander because of only one thing: every slander invokes me into prayer. In my mind, I really ask the Creator, “By Thy Grace, please help them, help these earthlings, these two-legged animals, these mammals who stink and have no shame to understand that God created them in His own Image.  –Yogi Bhajan
